BUOY APPLICATIONS DUE

RESTORING THE UPPER TRUCKEE
TRPA and more than 50 agencies agencies are working to turn back the clock on many of Lake Tahoe's damaged rivers and wetlands--25 projects are planned for the Upper Truckee River alone. Follow the link below for a snapshot of some of the projects being developed by California State Parks.

BOULDER BAY ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS OPEN FOR COMMENT
The draft environmental impact statement for the proposed Crystal Bay-area project has been released for public review and comment. The comment period has been extended for a full 90 days and closes on February 4, 2010.

BOAT INSPECTIONS CONTINUE THROUGH WINTER
Mandatory boat inspections are being conducted at select boat ramps through the winter season to protect Tahoe from invasive mussels spreading across the western U.S. on boats and trailers. Some lakes have closed to power boats to address the serious threat. The inspection and inspection fee are helping protect boat recreation as well as Tahoe's fragile ecosystem.
